Privacy Policy

Fusey attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this policy you can read how we handle the data we process, based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What personal data do we process?

Depending on how you use our website or services, we may process the following personal data:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number and any message content you submit via our contact form.
  • Payment data: when purchasing the Fusey Booking plugin or a licence, we process payment data through our payment provider Stripe. Fusey itself does not store complete payment data.
  • Licence data: name, email address and domain information required for activating and managing a software licence.
  • Website usage: via Google Analytics we collect anonymised data about visitor behaviour, such as pages visited, device type and session duration.
  • Technical data: IP address and server log files that are automatically maintained by our hosting provider for security and stability purposes.

3. Why do we process your data?

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to contact requests and quote enquiries.
  • Executing agreements for web development and related services.
  • Processing and managing payments for plugins and licences.
  • Activating, validating and managing software licences (Fusey Booking).
  • Analysing website visits to improve our services and website.
  • Complying with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting retention requirements).

4. On what legal basis do we process your data?

We base our processing on the following legal grounds from the GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): for delivering our services and processing purchases.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for placing non-functional cookies (e.g. Google Analytics). You can withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie settings.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): for securing our website and maintaining server log files.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): for complying with tax and accounting retention requirements.

5. How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Contact form data: maximum 12 months after last contact, unless a business relationship is established.
  • Client and contract data: 7 years after the end of the agreement (statutory tax retention obligation).
  • Licence data: as long as the licence is active and then maximum 12 months.
  • Payment data: 7 years in accordance with tax retention obligations.
  • Google Analytics data: maximum 14 months (anonymised).
  • Server log files: maximum 30 days.

6. Do we share your data with third parties?

Fusey only shares personal data with third parties to the extent necessary for the performance of our services or as required by law. We use the following processors:

  • Stripe, Inc.: for processing online payments. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified and processes payment data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics): for analysing website visits. We have enabled IP anonymisation and concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
  • Hosting provider: our website is hosted by a reliable hosting partner within the European Economic Area (EEA). A data processing agreement has been concluded with this party.

We never sell your data to third parties and do not provide it for commercial purposes.

7. Is data processed outside the EEA?

Google Analytics may process data outside the EEA (including in the United States). Google uses the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as appropriate safeguards for this transfer. We have enabled IP anonymisation to minimise the amount of personal data transferred.

8. Your rights as a data subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: you can request which personal data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification: you can have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
  • Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten'): you can request that your data be deleted, unless we are legally obliged to retain it.
  • Right to restriction of processing: you can request that the processing of your data be temporarily restricted.
  • Right to data portability: you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent: if processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

You can submit your request via info@fusey.nl. We will respond to your request within 4 weeks. We may request identity verification before processing the request.

If you believe that we are processing your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Functional cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the website and are placed without consent. For analytical and other non-functional cookies, we request your consent in advance via our cookie banner.

10. Security of your data

Fusey takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. Our website uses a secure HTTPS connection. Access to personal data is limited to persons who necessarily need this data.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

Fusey reserves the right to modify this privacy policy, for example as a result of changes in our services or in legislation. We advise you to consult this policy regularly. The date of the last change is stated at the top of this document.
